Mildred DeLois Lauw Moore

Mildred DeLois Lauw Moore, age 80 of Natchitoches, Louisiana, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, after a lengthy illness. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 23, in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Services will follow at 2:00pm with Brother John Elliot officiating. Burial will be at Beulah Cemetery, Marthaville. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Ardis and Gladys Lauw, her two brothers Richard “Lane” Lauw and Jimmie Dale Lauw. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alvin Moore; her children Christi Rinaudo and husband Tony of Shreveport, LA; Staci Kelley and husband Randy of Covington, LA; Steven Moore and wife Monika of Rineyville, Kentucky; and Kyle Moore and wife Marla, of Shreveport, LA. She is also survived by her brothers Don Lauw and wife Mary of Katy, TX; Lloyd “Buddy” Lauw of Lake Charles, LA, sisters Elaine Lauw Bonaventure and husband Buddy of New Roads, LA, Mickey Lauw Cedars of Natchitoches, LA; and two sisters-in-law Nancy Lauw of Marthaville, LA and Cathy Lauw Boudreaux of Baton Rouge, LA. Seven grandchildren, Katelyn Kelley Hall and husband James, Tyler Kelley, Christina Moore, Stephanie Moore, James Moore, William Moore and Thomas Moore and two great-grandchildren, Emma Hall and Jacob Hall. Mildred will be remembered for her dedication and service to Northwestern State University where she served as administrative assistant to the Dean of Women, Dean of Students, and Vice President of Student Affairs for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tyler Kelley, James Moore, William Moore and Thomas Moore; her sons-in-law, Randy Kelley and Tony Rinaudo. The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Sheldon Snow and Nikita Lewis who were with her until the end.
