For many years she enjoyed serving in various leadership capacities at her church. She served as Chairman of the Worship Committee , Director of Vacation Church School, Director of the Pumpkin Patch Program and as a Sunday school teacher. Her love and concern for children led her to organize the first pre-school program in the church. In 2013, she was honored as a P.E.O. Golden Girl for having been a member of Chapter AG and later Chapter AU in the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 50 years. She was a long time member of the Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches where she served as chairman of the Church Street Bridge Restoration Project. Throughout the years, she also enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, reading, traveling and working on the computer. Mrs. Galloway is preceded in death by her daughter, Jeni Lynn Galloway; mother, Mabel Clark Rutledge; father, Haddock Rutledge; sister, Ann Rutledge Duco and her husband Gene Duco of Coushatta; and her nephew Gene Booth Duco, Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Richard Hall Galloway; daughter Mitzi Ann Galloway Gray and son-in-law Gary Gray, both of Conroe, Texas.
