Andrew Wesley (Lil' Andy) Daniels

Our lives were blessed 9 years ago on September 20, 2011 at Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Andrew Wesley Daniels was born to his loving mother, Crystal Daniels of Gorum, LA. On July 24th our hearts were broken when he passed away. Andrew was a boy who loved to laugh and smile, he wore his heart on his sleeve. His smile and blue eyes lit up everyone’s day. He loved to take rides with his grandparents and Mom while jamming to his favorite song, “Old Town Road”. He loved to be read to and take strolls with his family. Andrew loved his cousins; they would cut up whenever they were together. Andrew was fascinated by the moon and looking up at the sky. Cuddling with his mom was something he could never pass up. He was her best friend and she was his. Even though Andrew was not able to do a lot of things other children could do, it never stopped how big his heart and spirit was. He touched everyone he met in life. Preceding Andy in death was his dad, Andrew Wesley Setliff; his great grandfather, Bennie Lee Daniels; great grandmother, Clara Basco McDaniel; and his favorite dog and buddy, Bubba Deuce. He is survived by his mother, Crystal Daniels and spouse John Shillings of Gorum; maternal grandparents, Carmello and DeAnna Casciari of Gorum; paternal grandmother, Angela Stuart of Lena; paternal grandfather, Deral Setliff and family of Mora; aunts, Brittany Desadier and spouse Charley of Natchitoches and Clara Casciari and husband Kainoa of Hawaii; uncles, Carmello Mayo Leo Casciari of Gorum, and Paul Cedars of Gorum; tons of cousins, Klarissa Cedars, Karen Cedars, Paul Cedars, Jr., Bentley Casciari, Kason Casciari, Legend Hanato, Kavella Hanato, Cadera Casciari; as well as many other extended family members and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher D. Maestas officiating. Interment will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 8 pm on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Charley Desadier, Paul Cedars, Nathan Basco, and Jessie Bennette. Honorary pallbearers will be Carmello Mayo Leo Casciari, Bailey Andes, Joseph McArthur and Paul Andrew Cedars, Jr.
