William "Bill" Musselwhite

A service to honor the life of William “Bill” Daniel Musselwhite will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Union Hall Baptist Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Trichel Community. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Union Hall Baptist Church from 5 pm until 8 pm located at 127 Union Hall Church Rd, Coushatta, LA 71019. Bill was born on May 30, 1945 in Natchitoches, LA to Daniel P. Musselwhite and Edna Laura Trichel Musselwhite and passed away on December 19, 2022 in Natchitoches. He is survived by his wife, Donna Bordelon Musselwhite; his children, William R. Musselwhite, Elizabeth Musselwhite, Joseph Musselwhite and his wife Janice, Faith Smith and her husband Wayne, Johnny DuBois and his wife DeAnna ; his sisters, Liz Quinten and Jean Davis and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Jeremiah Lasyone, Jacqueline Pulido, Johnny DuBois, III, and Heather DuBois. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Edna Musselwhite; three sisters, Dannie Pearl Musselwhite, Millecent Musselwhite, and Ida Mae Musselwhite; and two brothers, Robert Musselwhite, Sr. and Joseph G. Musselwhite . Bill was a proud Vietnam Veteran who dearly loved his country and a volunteer fireman for over 35 years for fire District 3. He retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Natchitoches after many years of dedicated service. He was a loving Christian husband, daddy, and papa to his family. Bill may have been best known for being the “Candy-Man”, passing out candy to everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
