Services for Wanda Faye Garsee Graves will be held at Bay Springs Cemetery on April 16, 2020, at 2 pm with Dr. Glynn St Andre officiating. Wanda was born on February 15, 1951, in Pineville, La. to J D (Curly) Garsee and Dorothy Jean Salard Garsee. She was a twin to Kenneth Garsee, and also a little sister to Charlotte Garsee Dubois. Wanda died at Natchitoches Regional Hospital on March 26, 2020, at 10:35 am. She was graduate of Gorum High School in 1969. July 22, 1970, was the best day of her life, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Sandra Lynn Dubois. Being a mother was most important in her life. She treasured each and every moment she had with her daughter who was her lifelong best friend. Years later she became a grandmother and great grandmother who she loved with all her heart and soul. Wanda also had a fur baby named Allie that she loved very much. Wanda was always a busy woman, never sitting still, a true firecracker at heart. She loved burning leaves, painting, carpenter work of any kind, riding horses, cutting grass, cutting hair, cleaning all the time and especially telling you what was on her mind. She loved to sing and dance most of all and spend time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. Wanda always lived her life to the fullest, if she wasn’t joking with you then you knew something had to be wrong. Her work ethic was amazing, she was truly a workhorse at heart. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Wanda had a big heart and didn’t mind sharing anything she had with anyone. Her last place of employment was at Garrett Business in Natchitoches, La where she sold business supplies and did secretarial work. She was proceeded in death by her parents J D (Curly) Garsee, and Dorothy Jean Salard Garsee, sister Judy Mills Hudnell. Survived by: Daughter, Sandra Lynn Dubois of Ragley, La. Sister, Charlotte Garsee Dubois (Richard), Brother, Kenneth Ray Garsee (Cynthia) of Chopin, La. Nephew, Jay Dubois (Sonya) of Robeline, La, Niece, Sabrina Dubois Laroux ( Buddy) of Zwolle, La. Granddaughter, Lauren Jean Dubois Kay (Louis), of Robeline, La. Joshua Douglas Dalme (Chelsea) of Edgewater, Fl, Jeremy Clayton Dalme of Henderson, Tx Five great grandchildren. Four great nieces, one great nephew, two great-great nieces and host of family and friends. Those serving as honorary pallbearers include Jay Dubois, Hunter Dubois, Buddy Laroux, Joshua Dalme, Reggie Johnson, Danny Edwards, Ronald Edwards, Bobby Lynn Edwards, Dale DeLacerda, Craig Dalme, Chad Thatcher and Frank Torres.
