Wade Garret Salard

Wade Garret Salard, 18, spent his life trying to make people laugh and smile. Wade was born on Feb. 15, 2002 and passed away on Sept. 25, 2020 in Natchitoches, LA. Wade loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to irritate and play with his siblings and cousins. Wade loved children and longed for a big family of his own. Wade was raised by his mother, Sheyanne McCorkel, along with his father Michael Salard and stepmother Debra Salard. He is survived by his paternal grandparents John and Toni Salard, step-grandparents Jeff and Tammy Holliefield and Doc and Becky Newman, maternal grandfather Joseph McCorkel and paternal great grandmother Vera White. His surviving siblings are John M. Salard, II, Caitlin Salard, Elijha McCorkel, Elana McCorkel, and Linda Smith, along with a ton of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Services will be held at 8 pm in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 . A vitiation will be held from 5 pm until 10 pm on Thursday.
