Funeral services for Tommie Ann Scoggins will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at Kisatchie Baptist Church, at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Doug Chance officiating. Burial will follow at New Kisatchie Cemetery. The family will, receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Tommie Ann Scoggins was born on September 5, 1959 to Thomas and Sherma Neely in Hayti, Missouri. She passed away on April 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Monroe Neely and her father-in-law, Leland Scoggins. She is survived by her husband, Bryan Keith Scoggins; son, Dusty Pike and wife, Samantha; step-children, Kristy Faulks and husband Shane, Dakota Scoggins and wife Kelsey, Camden Scoggins, and Kaylee Scoggins; grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Lana Faulks; her mother, Sherma Till Neely; and mother-in-law, Lynelle Dowden Scoggins; sister, Johnnie Yopp; and brother, Joe Neely and wife, Lynn. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Keith Scoggins, Dusty Pike, Dakota Scoggins, Camden Scoggins, Shane Faulks, and Taylor Townsend. Tommie had a love for life and was devoted to her family. She always had the biggest smile on her face, never meeting a stranger, and always happy. In 1977, she graduated high school from North Pemiscot High School in Wardell, Missouri. Upon graduation, she started her college career at LSU in the fall of ‘77, then transferred and graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. For the last 16 years Tommie has worked as the executive legal assistant to Taylor Townsend at his law firm. Tommie was an avid animal lover. Her love for horses and dogs was like no other. She enjoyed barrel racing and won several titles, saddles, and buckles to prove it. In her free time, she loved to travel. Her kind heart and loving nature led her to put others before herself. She was known to have the best smile and the best biscuits. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
