Titia Jo Posey Rachal

A funeral service is scheduled for Titia Jo Posey Rachal on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm on Thursday, July 8th with the service to follow at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Titia Jo’s life. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Richard Dove, William Kelly, Shane Knight, Cody Rachal, Dylan Rachal, and Kayla Sigler. Titia Jo Rachal, age 84, died peacefully at home on July 4, 2021, in Natchitoches, LA. She is survived by 1 sister, Lucia Posey Breaux; four children, Janice Rachal, Donna Rachal Kelly, Jessie Rachal and wife Carol, and Kellie Rachal Gill and husband James all of Natchitoches, LA. She also has ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother, her husband Newton Rachal and two daughters Brenda Rachal Knight and Tammy Rachal. Titia Jo was born on February 14, 1937 to parents Lutie Inez Posey and Lucian Albert Posey in Marthaville, LA. She married at an early age, and she was married to Newton for 57 years. She was a self-employed stay at home mom who raised 6 children. She liked to have fun and socialize with friends. Singing and dancing were two of her favorite things and she could be found doing both on most weekends. She was a self-sufficient hard-working woman who supported herself and loved life.
