Tina Lewis

Tina Lewis of Shreveport, Louisiana died unexpectedly Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Natchitoches, Louisiana at the age of 63. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, John and Sophie Lewis of Benton, Louisiana, Yvonne and Dwayne Capps of Hunt, Texas, Robert and Nancy Lewis of Bastrop, Texas and Velma and Keith Wilks of Slaton, Texas. She also left behind dear nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-laws, Tom and Carolyn Lewis and Leo Jr. and Jane Lewis. Her beloved twin sister, Sue Dennis, of Davenport, Iowa preceded her to Heaven on December 4, 2021. On June 27,1958 Tina was born in Natchitoches, to the late Dr. Leo Lewis and Scharmel Elliott Lewis. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Natchitoches Central High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God College, and an associate theology degree from Christ for the Nations Institute. She spent most of her life in the ministry doing administrative and executive secretarial work as well as speaking at various evangelistic engagements. Tina dedicated her life to serving the Lord. While her time on Earth ended too quickly, she had the promise and hope of reuniting with loved ones in Heaven. A private family graveside service was held on Friday, December 10th at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Memorials in her honor may be made to a charity of choice.
