Thomas Wilson Jones, Sr., known by all as Wilson, was a beloved father, Papa, and brother was born on May 19, 1946, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He peacefully departed this life at his residence in Campti, Louisiana, on June 15, 2025, surrounded by family.

Wilson dedicated his professional life to the art of craftsmanship, beginning his career by making fiberglass boats. He later employed his skills to become self-employed, specializing in installing fiberglass pools. Wilson was known for his ability to tackle nearly any project with remarkable skill and expertise, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

A good and simple man at heart, Wilson worked hard throughout his life and enjoyed playing hard too. His passion for life was evident in the joy he found in being with family and friends. He was particularly fond of hosting large family gatherings, where laughter was sure to fill the air. Known for his generous spirit and calm demeanor, he was slow to anger and devoted himself to nurturing relationships with those around him. Being an excellent cook, Wilson delighted many with his cooking abilities, often providing delicious meals for his family and friends.  His talents extended beyond the kitchen; he possessed an incredible green thumb that allowed him to grow anything, from vibrant gardens to beautiful flowers. Among his botanical pride and joy were his moon flowers, which held a special place in his heart.

Wilson is survived by his children, Thomas Jones, Jr., Michelle Butler (Ronnie), Jennifer Jones, and Christie Jones; his grandchildren, including Heather Leigh Bradley, Heather Michelle Bradford (Clifford Griffing), Danielle Bradford, Christopher Darland, Dottie Darland, and Jason Jones; and his siblings, Louise "Weezie" Jones, Cathy Perot (Rickey), Teresa Theriot (Glenn), Annie Mitchell (Cecil), David Jones, Jerry Jones (Geneva), and Billy Jones. The joy of his life continues through his great-grandchildren, Clifford Griffing, Caleb Griffing, Laynie Darland, and Averie Vann Darland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Viola Thomas, and his siblings, Gaye Johnson, Faye Moore, Johnny Jones, and Harvey Jones. 

His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  Everyone that knew him, knew he lived his life the way he wanted and according to his own terms.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be announced at a future date.
