Thomas Keith Johnson, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend was born on December 16, 1959 in Natchitoches, LA to Tom Curtis Johnson and Betty Pearl Johnson. Thomas passed away on June 26, 2024 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 64.
Thomas was employed by the Louisiana DOTD and O S Johnson. Outside of work life, he enjoyed being a disciple of Jesus Christ and studying his word, spending time with family and friends, as well as fishing and hunting. Along with the study of Jesus’ word, he enjoyed his weekends at Toledo Bend Lake preaching the word of God.
Services for Thomas will be held on Monday July 1, 2024 at 11 am at Christian Harmony Baptist Church located at 2919 LA HWY 1226 in the Trichel Community with Bro. David Matlock officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am and last until service time on Monday the 1st at Christian Harmony. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church located at 312 LA HWY 3191 in Natchitoches.
Thomas left behind to cherish his memory a host of family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cindy Johnson of Goldonna, son Evan Johnson (Savannah) of Shreveport, daughter Dorothy “Dottie” Wilson (James) of Natchitoches, daughter Kathlyne Johnson, step daughter Dawn Matthews, sister Pamela Graham (Buddy) of Natchitoches, sister Jennifer Johnson of Shreveport, grandchildren Gabriel and Brianna Morgan, James, Cole, Ember, Justin, great grandchildren Abel Scott, Logyan Paul, and Raelyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Tom Curtis and Betty Pearl Johnson, maternal grandparents Vernon Winston and Iona Marie Clemons, paternal grandparents Tom and Nellie Ebert Johnson, two sons Gabriel and Curtis Johnson, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Thomas’ legacy of love, hard-work, and humor will forever be remembered by those who had the awesome and amazing privilege of knowing him.
Thomas was also a proud veteran of the U. S. Airforce and the National Guard.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Evan Johnson, David Rushing, Chris Webb, James Wilson, Michael Graham and Justin Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Morgan, Wyatt Wilson, Abel Scott and Logyan Paul.
