Teresa Durr Broadway

Teresa Durr Broadway, passed away at her residence on May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 5, 1960, and touched the lives of many during her time with us.

Teresa was a devoted wife to her husband of 47 years, Ricky Broadway, and was eternally proud of her two sons, Jason Broadway (Tammy) and Clint Broadway (Kim), both of Robeline. Her siblings, Jerry Durr (Bonny Baker) of Shreveport, Chester Terrell Durr (Ione) of Ebarb, Melva Jacobs of Shreveport, and Sarah Shoemaker (Kenny) of Natchitoches.  Her happiness found further expression in her role as a grandmother, as she took immense joy in her grandchildren, Alyssa (Evan), Hunter (Izzy), Hunter Laurent, Mason, Alexis, and Adelyna. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Retta Broadway, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her presence.

The warmth of Teresa's spirit shone through in her love for simple pleasures. She found joy in sitting on her front porch, watching the birds eat from her feeders, which reflected her gentle nature and appreciation for life’s small wonders.

Teresa’s legacy will continue to be felt deeply by all those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. "Dick" Durr and Pearl Parker Durr; her brother, Lonnie Durr; and her father-in-law, Pete "Junior" Broadway.

A visitation in her honor will be held on May 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A funeral service at Blanchard-St. Denis will follow on May 15, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Brian Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Robeline, LA.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Stanley Broadway, Garland Broadway, Terry Broadway, Randy Broadway, Gary Broadway and Rodney Broadway.

Teresa Durr Broadway will be remembered not only for her love for her family but also for the light she brought into the lives of those around her. Her generous heart and unwavering support will be missed and cherished forever.
