Tanya Davis

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Tanya Davis will be held at 11 am Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis with Deacon Bill Goss presiding over the service. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on February 10th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Tanya Lynette Davis, 54 years of age and a resident of Bossier City, passed away on February 3, 2022. She was born on January 5, 1968 to Artis and Carolyn Kerry in Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bobbie Strauch. She is survived by a daughter, Taylor Davis; a brother, Mike Kerry and wife Elizabeth; and her stepfather John O’Neil; as well as other extended family and friends. Tanya earned a bachelor of science degree in education from LA Tech. She taught 4th grade at St. John’s Cathedral for many years until her health began to decline. She definitely was a fighter and struggled for 15 years with kidney and pancreatic issues until a recent transplant gave her a new outlook on life. God’s plan for her life was not the plan we held for her but we know she is in heaven with her Lord and Savior. We take comfort in knowing we will see her again in heaven one day.
