Sue Ivy Neitte, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born on July 22, 1945, in Alexandria, Louisiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, dedication to education, and a quiet joy in the simple and beautiful things of everyday life.

Sue loved being a teacher and gave many years of faithful service to the Grant Parish Schools before her retirement. Her commitment to learning was also reflected in her own accomplishments, including earning her Masters in Education. She brought care and purpose to her work, and teaching was not simply a profession to her, but a calling she cherished.

Beyond her career, Sue found happiness in the things she created and nurtured with her own hands. She was an avid seamstress who loved to sew, and she enjoyed spending time outdoors caring for her flowers and plants. These pursuits reflected her patient spirit and her appreciation for beauty, growth, and home. Above all, she loved her family dearly, and that love remained one of the defining gifts of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Neitte. She also leaves behind her grandson, Tristan Neitte, and his wife, Grace; her granddaughter, Tori Morgan, and her husband, Austin; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Hudson Neitte, Steele Morgan, and Palmer Morgan. In their lives, her love and presence will continue to be felt with gratitude and affection.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, William Conley “W.C.” Ivy; her mother, Annie Transier Ivy; and her son, Todd Neitte. Their memories remained a lasting part of her life and story.

A graveside service will be held on September 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Dry Prong Cemetery, Hwy 123, Dry Prong, Louisiana 71423.

Sue Ivy Neitte will be remembered for her loving heart, her service as an educator, her creative hands, and the deep devotion she gave to those she held dear. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
