Sharon Ann Robertson was one of a kind. She was a person who was full of life, love and laughter not only for herself but everyone around her. Sharon was blessed with many gifts, but her eye for decorating and artistic detail was above all her best and most rewarding quality. Her family always found joy in watching her create the most beautiful displays out of nothing. Sharon, better known to her family as “Gam” gained her angel wings on June 12th, 2025 with family close by her side as she took her final breath and entered Heaven’s pearly gates.
Sharon was born on December 3rd, 1962 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to John Benjamin McCrory Sr and Barbara Lee McCrory. She was the oldest of four children, and arguably Mama and Daddy’s favorite child. Sharon graduated from Fairview Alpha High School in 1981 and then went on to obtain an accounting degree at Louisiana Technical College. In 1982, Sharon gave birth to her only child, William Thomas. Together they took on life and leaned on each other throughout the many hardships life brings for a single mother. On June 23rd, 2012 Sharon married the love and light of her life, Richard. Together they built a beautiful life and made many exciting and beautiful memories of exploring, traveling, and experiencing new things in life. Together they have faced many hardships and no matter what they never left the others side. Though this love was found later in life, to see them together was to see that true love does exist and it is beautiful, patient, and kind.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Benjamin McCrory Sr. and Barbara Lee McCrory. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Richard, her child Will Thomas, Step Children: Laura Henry and husband Hunter, Vicky Jackson, and Janet Warren and husband Ricky.
