Funeral services for Sharanda Lea Chelette Perrine will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Nantachie United Pentecostal Church in Montgomery with Bro. Nathaniel Young and Bro. Samuel Russell officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope cemetery in Verda. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on Saturday July 10th at the church. Sharanda Lea Chelette Perrine, 42 years old, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021. She left this life carrying her unborn son, Jerron DeLynn Perrine. She was born on May 31, 1979 in Natchitoches to Thomas Aaron Chelette, born in Colfax and Shirley DuBois Chelette, born in Montgomery. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School class of 1997. Sharanda worked for attorney James “Jimbo” Slaughter until shortly after she became a Momma. She spent her days being a Momma to Alysa and errand girl to her MawMaw. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 22 years, Scotty Lynn Perrine of Montgomery; daughter, Alysa Janice Perrine; bonus son, Brendon Logan Yost; father, Thomas Aaron Chelette; grandmother, Vera Lea Broadway DuBois; brother, Jason Aaron Chelette and his wife Anita Bryant Chelette’ nephews, Jonathon A. Chelette (Hannah Jones), and Jacob A. Chelette; nieces, Haley Lionberger, and Macey Lionberger; great nephews, Maddox Chelette, and Chandler McManus; and great niece, Mikah Chelette. As well as a host of family and friends who will miss her greatly and treasure her precious memories. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley DuBois Chelette; maternal grandfather, Ora Dee DuBois; paternal grandparents, Reuel Rannel Chelette, Sr. and Irma Iris Chelette. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Kirby Heath Ballard, Jonathon A. Chelette, Dewayne DuBois, Preston Durr, Heath Waxley, and Michael Waxley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob A. Chelette, Jeff Covington, Willis DuBois, and Kenneth DuBois.
