Sadie Theresa Llorens Metoyer

Sadie Theresa Llorens Metoyer was born September 20, 1944 to the late Ernest and Mary B. Llorens of Natchitoches Louisiana. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Metoyer Sr. for 59 years; dear mother to Raymond Jr (Judy), John Darryl, and Lisa (Mark); loving Granny to Jake, Benjamin, Courtney, Aaron, Joshua, and Mary Caroline. Sadie was preceded in death by three brothers James, Louis and Sydney; and one sister, Mary Pearl; one grandson Joey; and two brothers-in-law, Joseph and Nora Jr. Sadie is survived by one brother Ernest (Barbara); two sisters, Dorena (+Joseph), Patricia; She was sister-in-law to Alvin (Minnie), Lillian (Sammy), Mary (John), Joseph, Anne, Caroline, and Rosa. She was cherished aunt, cousin and friend to many. She retired from the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury as Secretary Treasurer after 25 years of service. After retirement she worked for Lott Oil Company as payroll clerk for several years. As she worked, she was the loving wife and mother. She was there to always support them in their extracurricular activities. Her greatest joy in her life was being Granny to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her home cooking, and her tell it like it is personality. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Natchitoches, Louisiana with Rev. John O’Brien serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 am on the 17th at St. Anthony. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:30 am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church Mausoleum, Isle Brevelle, Louisiana. A repast will be held in St. Anthony Church Hall immediately following the burial.
