Ruby Lucille Ferri, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2020 with family and loved ones by her side. Ruby was born on October 2, 1925 to Otto & Alma Nasett. She was the youngest of seven children who grew up on the family farm in rural Rockdale, Wisconsin. After World War II Ruby married Ambrose Ferri of Rockford Illinois in 1946 and quickly adapted to a military lifestyle. They had four children who were raised with love and care. Ruby said “I always considered that tending and nourishing all of my children is my greatest pleasure.“ She was a ”Domestic Engineer” in the true sense as she was always designing gadgets and methods that made her job as a wife and mother run smoother. She was ahead of her time in her knowledge of nutrition and the value of living a healthy lifestyle — she was still doing Pilates in her eighties. She is preceded in death by her husband and favorite card partner Ambrose, eldest son Thomas, parents, and siblings. She is survived by her son Daniel and his children, Rosa and Owen, her son David (Kathy) and his children, Joel (Sarah) Piktel, Ryan (Mazsa) Piktel and Garin (Sveta) Ferri, her daughter Patricia Alexander and her children Kristy (Josh) Sampey and Jonathan Pass. She left several great grandchildren Calvin Piktel, Avery Piktel, Aria Piktel, Maggie Sampey and Elijah Sampey. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 10 am on July 9, 2022 at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. Burial of her cremains will follow in the East Koshkonong Lutheran Church Cemtery. In lieu flowers or donations just enjoy the memories you have of Ruby.
