Rosie was born October 25, 1926 and grew up on a farm in Jonesville, Louisiana as one of seven children and attended business college, then married Albert Neill Jackson Jr. and made Natchitoches, Louisiana their home for decades. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was a devoted member of her local P.E.O. She especially enjoyed sharing what she made with others, whether it was a meal, a handmade piece, or something beautiful for the home.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Neill Jackson Jr., and her son, Conrad “Butch” Neill Jackson.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter in law Suzanne M. Jackson and her grandchildren, Benjamin E Jackson, Barrett Childers, Courtland Childers, Elisabeth Rice, Emerson Levy, Mackenzie B Jackson, Mary Grace Jackson, Katie Rose Jackson, and Jane Anne Jackson, along with extended family and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Blanchard Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The procession will depart at 10:00 a.m. for Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Pineville, LA, where a brief graveside ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Rosie will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, dedication to education, the food she shared, the beauty she created, and the love she gave to her family, friends, and community.
