Funeral services for Rodney Brossette will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 12 noon in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Cloutierville Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Joseph Rodney Brossette, 68 years of age and a native of Cloutierville, LA. passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. He was born on January 27, 1953 to Robert Charles Brossette, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Lee Brossette in Pineville, LA. Rodney Proudly served his country in the United States Navy, as well as serving his local community and town on the City of Natchitoches Police force and the Cloutierville Fire Department. He had a love for the outdoors, nature and animals. His favorite time of years was celebrating Mardi Gras. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his freetime, going on trips, sightseeing with family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Robert Charles Brossette, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Lee Brossette; brothers Mark Anthony Brossette, and Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Brossette, Sr.; nephews, Kenneth Wayne "Frog" Brossette, Jr., Evan "Buggy" Willis, and Robert Charles Brossette, III. He is survived by his sister, Teresa Brossette Vercher and her husband Stephen; brother, Robert Charles Brossette, Jr. and his wife Christiana; nieces and nephews, Ross Chandler Brossette, Michael Brossette, Mandy Vercher, Brandi Vercher, Corey Vercher and his wife Caroline, Rayce Brossette and his wife Kera, Tiffany Brossette, Terah Brossette, Danielle B. Bacino and her husband Mark and Kara B. Melancon and her husband Kasey; great nieces and nephews, Dillon Vercher, Kiera Beechem, Everleigh Watson, Aria Vercher, Madison Pelligrin, Mathis Brossette, Grace Bacino, Blake Bacino, Gabi Melancon, and Mason Melancon; as well as his extended family of special friends and caretakers, Rhonda Sanders and her husband Ricky, Bubba Sanders and his wife Lacey H., Nick and B.J. Sanders, and William Sanders and his wife Lacey K. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bubba Sanders, Ricky Sanders, B.J. Sanders, Nick Sanders, Michael Sanders, and Ross Brossette. Honorary pallbearers will be William Sanders, Rayce Brossette, Corey Vercher, and Dillon Vercher.
