Roberta Nowlin

January 23, 1958 — December 15, 2023

Natchitoches

Roberta K, or Bobbie, to those who loved her and knew her best, was born January 23, 1958 in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Her parents were Robert and Lois Anderson. She passed from this life on December 15, 2023 at the age of 65

In the dash between her birth date and date of her passing, she accomplished so much. She joined the United States Air Force and became an aircraft mechanic. She was respected by all those around her because of her work ethic as well as her moral values. She married soon after this, and became a stay at home mother to her daughters. While at home, she spent her days maintaining a spotless house and creating games which were not only fun, but taught her girls life lessons which they still talk about to this day.  Upon returning to the workforce, she became a supervisor at one company and then transferred to another where she excelled to a management position. Her ability to organize a spreadsheet, warehouse, and motivate workers was truly unmatched. During this time she also graduated from Northwestern State University with a near perfect grade point average with a degree in Engineering Technology. There was nothing this woman couldn’t do.

In all of her accomplishments, she considered her greatest to be that of a loving wife and mother. The connection, and purest sense of love she and her husband Bobby poured into their marriage on a daily basis, gave her daughters the blueprint of what love looks like, and caused them to strive for that in each of their relationships daily.  Second to her love of her husband, was the love of her children and grandchildren. Birthdays were always celebrated, with a homemade birthday cake of their choice, made by her, always. Holidays were always magical with piles of presents, but even more love. Ordinary family visits were never ordinary. The feeling of belonging and peace were ever present when she was around, always.  The pride she exuded in her family was unquestioned and unwavering. No effort or sacrifice was too much for them, ever.

In her passing, she leaves behind her husband Bobby of 38 years, the legacy of her 4 daughters, Tiffany Iber (Jeffrey) of Rosepine, Heather Nowlin-Richard (Adrian) of Leesville, Katherine Nowlin of Alexandria, and  Crystal Guidrey (Quentin) of Pineville, 3 granddaughters, Ashton, Olivia and Brooklyn,  as well as 1 grandson, Alexander,  all of whom she loved immensely.

Our hearts are broken and we will miss her so terribly, but the love she gave us will cause her to live on forever in our memories. She was just that special.
