Richard Lee Strother

Ricky Strother was born on October 4, 1949, in Cullen, Louisiana, and passed away on May 9, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia. A Celebration of Life Service for Ricky will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 13, 2026, at Blanchard Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with Rev. Clint Davis officiating.

Ricky graduated from Springhill High School in 1967 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from Northwestern State University in 1971. He dedicated 40 years of service to Graphic Packaging, where he retired in 2013 as Director of Purchasing.

Ricky enjoyed playing golf, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for the outdoors, and the devotion he showed to those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Daniel Strother and Loyce Marie Doss Strother.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Elaine Lilley Strother; his two sons, Kristopher Lee Strother and wife Ashley Strother, grandson Kaden Lee Strother, granddaughter Kelsie Jo Strother Cecil and husband Josh Cecil, and great granddaughter Sophia Nicole Cecil; and Bryan Kasey Strother, his fiancée, Jessica Setser, and grandson Joshua Koen Strother.

He is also survived by his sisters, Gwen Balzrette and Nancy Burney; his brothers, Troy Strother and Roy Dale Strother and wife Claudia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ricky’s memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
