A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Raymond Kerry will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA with Rev. Douglas McManus officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm on Friday the 6th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Raymond, 70 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born on February 16, 1951 to Esmay John Kerry and Isabelle Delores Bynog Kerry near Cloutierville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Bobby Ethan Kerry and Morgan Elizabeth Prothro; and brothers, Michael, Daniel, Ray and Shane Kerry. Raymond was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He was a route driver for L. H. Johnson Wholesale in Natchitoches. He was a long-time and faithful member of Flatwoods United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed fellowship with his church family. Raymond will always be remembered for telling everyone “I’m Okay” when asked how he was feeling, even if he was feeling bad. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father to his family. He will be dearly missed. Raymond is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda McCord Kerry; a son, Raymond Matthew Kerry; a daughter, Deloris Kerry; 4 grandchildren, Leah Newell, Bralynn Kerry, Amber Prothro, and Nathan Prothro; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Gene Kerry, Pete Kerry, Lucky Kerry, and Travis Kerry; a sister, May Delores Kerry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
