A homegoing celebration for Mr. Ray Orsborn will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Provencal United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Paul Grace officiating. Burial will follow at the Provencal Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Provencal United Pentecostal Church. Ray was born on September 21, 1930 in Provencal to Ralph and Ruth Orsborn. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 6, 2020 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hilda “Mickie” Orsborn, children, Michele and Mark Long, Suzanne and Terry Pepper, Steven and Krys Orsborn, David and Tonya Orsborn, Chelsea Marie Orsborn, Stepdaughter – Valerie Foshee; grandchildren, Sarah and Josh Guthrie, Rachel Long, Marcus and Hannah Long, Haley Pepper, Jake Pepper, Kim Orsborn, Chelsea Orsborn, Rebekah Orsborn, Dale Orsborn, Lise and CJ Vanhook, Meghan and Britt Rosso, Angie and Keith Sarpy, Lucy Orsborn, Bo Orsborn, Christopher Orsborn and Melody Dove; greatgrandchildren, Jax, Adelyn, Evodie, Owen, Jade, Marc, Seth, Braydon, Addison, Ryleigh, Sadie, Austyn, Lexi, KJ, Dustin, Kaylee, Jesse, Levi, Chase, Kynlee, Kamilah, Peyton, Layken, and coming soon in 2021, David Lane and Kyler David; as well as two special nieces, Moneta Wolfshohl and Debbie McCollum. Along with more than 25 foster children throughout his lifetime. He had a love for his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Missing from Ray’s family are his son, Michael Ray Orsborn, and granddaughter, Cindy Orsborn. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters. The family would like to thank each and every person who had a part in taking care of our Daddy, and a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Natchitoches.
