Pete Withers

Waymon V. “Pete” Withers, 78 years of age and a resident of Shreveport, LA, passed away on September 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Benny R. Withers, and sister, Norma L. Withers. Pete was born on November 3, 1941, to Truly V. Withers and Evie Mae McCauslin Withers, in Robeline, LA. He enjoyed many things in life, from gardening and flowers to his beloved pets. Pete was just Pete. He is survived by his siblings, Gracie Pugh and husband, George, of Stonewall, LA, Ella Marie Ward of Shreveport, LA, and Allen Withers of Bernalillo, NM, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Terry Strahan, Kevin Withers, Steve, Jerry, and Jeff Pugh. A service to honor Pete’s life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Rocky Mount Church located at 2908 Rocky Mount Rd., Robeline, LA 71469. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Church Cemetery.
