Perry Thomas Cook, Sr., a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the Regency House in Alexandria, Louisiana. Born on November 6, 1942, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Perry lived his life with a spirit of kindness, service, and unwavering love for his family.

Perry was a proud veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army, earning a sense of pride that lasted throughout his life. After his discharge in 1970, he embraced his roles as son, husband, and father with enthusiasm and dedication. In his younger years, he found joy in the great outdoors, often hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was a gifted mechanic/handyman who could fix anything, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His good-natured spirit drew many to him, creating lasting friendships and fond memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 40 years, Lynne Gray Cook. Perry’s legacy lives on through his children—Kathy Renee Cook-Mills, Perry "Bubba" Cook, Jr., Felix Martinez Cook, Ronnie Kelley, and Deena Kelley. He was a loving brother to his sisters, Dorothy Kemp and Judy Smith, and brother, Ted Cook. Perry was also blessed with an impressive legacy of 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Perry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Felix and Elsie Cook, and his beloved children, Ronnith Sera Cook and Terry Kelley. He is also mourned by the memory of five siblings who have passed before him.

The visitation to honor Perry will be held on February 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A graveside service will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood, Louisiana, starting at 2:30 PM.

Perry Thomas Cook, Sr.'s life was a testament to the virtues of kindness, service, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us all to cherish the bonds we share and to extend a helping hand whenever we can.
