Peggy Elizabeth Cooper

Peggy Elizbeth Grappe Cooper and lifelong resident of Campti, LA, passed away after a 6 and 1/2 year battle with Stage 4 cancer on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Arrangements are being held by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive from from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021. A rosary service will be held at 7 pm. The funeral service will be at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti, LA at 10 am Friday, October 8, 2021, with Rev. Gus Dutch Voltz, III and Deacon Tommy Robichaux officiating. Interment will be at Nativity Catholic Cemetery following the services. Although Peggy has left us to live eternally with God, her family, and friends that preceded her, she will forever be remembered for her steadfast love for God, her family, and her friends. She will be missed but will live on through the many lives she has touched. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, three brothers, and granddaughter. She is survived by her husband Bobbie Cooper, Jr. and her three sons: Chad Lester and wife, Bernice; Marlin Lester, Mikie Lester and 8 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Grappe, Brad Armstrong, Joey Antilley,Robert McGill, Randy Stewart, Cody Sullivan, Hunter Rabalais, Kyle Lester. Honorary pallbearers are Cliff Grappe, Jeff Grappe, Dale Grappe, Chris Surgi, Brian Eaves, Craig Daigle, Brady Antilley, Marty Antilley, Gregory Dale Grappe, Kaleb Lester. Special thanks to all those doctors and nurses who cared for her, in particular Dr. Robert Massingill and his staff at Christus Cancer Center and Christus Highland Medical Center.
