Patrick Frank Mondello

A Mass of Christian burial to honor the life of Patrick Frank (Pat) Mondello will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Powhatan LA with Father Thomas Paul serving as celebrant. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30AM, before the service, at the church. Burial will follow in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches LA.

Pat passed away peacefully on Monday, the 23rd of March in Shreveport, LA. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. Pat was born August 10, 1963 to Joseph Mondello, Jr and Rosie Leone Mondello, who preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memories include his sister Mary Mondello Driscoll(Tom), his brothers, Joseph Michael Mondello III, Stephen James Mondello (Joanne), and Anthony Ray Mondello. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, as well as a host of cousins and friends.

Pat attended St Mary's Elementary and High School graduating in 1981. He participated in football, track and baseball. He attended Northwestern State University earning his pilot license. He spent many years farming with his dad as well.

Pat had a generous heart and found his calling as a friend to those lacking support from family and friends. He gladly provided concern and friendship, along with transportation, for appointments and errands, to many who crossed his path daily. Pat had a strong unshakeable faith in God which led him to the service of others. He was a friend to all.

Pat was a kind and generous soul who was taken from us too soon. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the many whose lives were touched by his compassion and caring.

In lieu of floral contributions, the family requests that memorial donations in Pat's name be made to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, 901 McNeil Street, Shreveport, LA 71101
