Otis McClinton was born March 23,1933 in Bermuda, LA to Willie and Rozelia McClinton. He passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Natchitoches Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.
Otis and his family moved from Bermuda to Natchitoches when he was a child. He later relocated to Houston in the 1940’s where he married his sweetheart, Eunice (Lizzie) Graham, also from Natchitoches. He often mentioned how the two of them enjoyed cooking together, working in the garden and fishing. In fact, she was his favorite fishing partner. She was the love of his life and they remained happily married for over 40 years until she passed away.
Otis was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age. He recommitted his life to Christ in recent years. Otis was truly gifted in several areas and settled in the construction industry as a homebuilder. He loved his profession, worked hard and enjoyed providing for his family. He was always happy to share his knowledge and assist friends and family in any way he could.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Graham McClinton, his parents, Willie McClinton and Rozelia Williams McClinton, his sisters Ida Lee McClinton and Henrie Doris Gay, and his brothers, Eddie, Willie, Abraham, Vernon, Raymond, Nolden and Randolph McClinton.
Otis is survived by his sister Mary Lee McClinton of Natchitoches, LA, his brother Harold McClinton of Houston, TX, his niece Rhonda Jones (Herman) of Rockwall, TX, his sister-in-law Nedora Graham of Natchitoches, his god child Gregory Hines of Houston, TX and a host nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished and will greatly miss him.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to friends and family for all the prayers and condolences received. Further, the family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Mohamed M. Haq of Houston, Texas and to Hospice of Natchitoches (HON) with special thanks to Melissa Britten, Wendy Miller and Mariana Martinez with HON.
A memorial will be held on Saturday August 9th, 2025 from 9:30 - 11am at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Burial will follow at Lawrence Serenity Sanctum.
