Nelda Emmons

A Memorial Mass for Nelda Emmons will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchitoches. Nelda Lucille Madden Emmons was born on January 29, 1933 in Kilgore, TX to Leonard M. Madden and Pluma Harper Madden. She passed away on March 8, 2023, in Natchitoches, LA. Nelda was a longtime resident of Natchitoches, having graduated from Northwestern State University and marrying Johnny Emmons, Sr. in 1952. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Opal Gaspard; her brothers, Rupert Madden and Don Madden; and her daughter, Anne Emmons Biggs. She is survived by her son, Johnny Emmons, III and his wife Teresa Emmons; grandchildren, Celeste Emmons Waguespack and her husband Brett Waguespack and Johnny Emmons, IV; and her great-grandchildren, Jeremy Biggs, Adeline Waguespack, and Clayton Waguespack. The family would like to thank Mother Suzanne and the members of Trinity Episcopal Church, Hospice of Natchitoches, and Natchitoches Community Care Center.
