Nancy Raulins Rachal

January 9, 1964 — March 12, 2024

Nancy Raulins Rachal, 60, of Natchitoches, passed away on March 12, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1964 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Joseph Neal Raulins and Sybil Myrt Ballard Raulins. Nancy attended Hickory Ridge School and Natchitoches Central High School and was later employed by Louisiana Council on Aging and Northwestern State University.

Nancy is survived by her son, Stephen Lester Rachal, Jr. and his wife, Casey. She also is survived by two grandchildren that she loved dearly, Hunter Rachal and Brayden Rachal. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister, Anna Kay Raulins Shores, and brother-in-law, Ray Shores, of Bentonia, Mississippi, and niece, Claire Shores, of Flora, Mississippi, as well as her brother, Alan E. Raulins, of Jackson, Louisiana.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to many special friends for years of friendship, encouragement, and service to Nancy. In addition, the family is indebted to Kelly Coffey who dedicated countless hours to Nancy’s care and well-being. Special thanks to the staff of Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation.

The funeral service for Nancy Rachal will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at New Life Evangelism Church, Natchitoches, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Central Robeline Cemetery, Robeline, Louisiana. The family will receive friends and family from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
