Nancy, 81 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Nancy was born on May 30, 1944 to Viola and Jimmy Bynog in Cloutierville, LA. She was one of 10 children in a bustling household. Her life took a significant turn when she met Gene Kerry, a love that brought about their marriage in January of 1962. For 61 years, Nancy and Gene shared a deep and enduring partnership, rarely spending a moment apart. Their relationship was a testament to devotion and companionship, enduring until his passing in 2023. Nancy’s story is one of family, love, and resilience, reflecting a life filled with cherished memories and unwavering bonds.

Nancy’s life was full of love, laughter, and a bit of chaos, thanks to her four lively children, who brought both joy and challenges. Every moment with them added a special touch to her days, creating memories she held dear. Her kitchen, often the heart of her home, was filled with comforting smells and her famous Sunday biscuits - a family tradition that brought everyone together for warmth and togetherness. Making those biscuits was more than just a routine; it was a beloved ritual that brought joy to her heart and smiles to her family’s faces, strengthening bonds that would last a lifetime.

Beside her was Lucy, her loyal dog, whose gentle nature and love for afternoon naps provided a calm backdrop to the bustling household. Lucy’s presence was a constant source of comfort, her soft eyes and wagging tail was a reminder that even in chaos, there was always a moment o peace. As life unfolded with its ups and downs, Nancy faced the challenge of declining health with a determination that was both her shield and her strength. Her resilience showed her strong spirit and her ability to find hope even in tough times was an inspiration to all those around her.

Her presence was warm and joyful, leaving a lasting impact on her family and friends, whose lives were forever enriched by her love and wisdom. Though she is greatly missed, the legacy of her love and the memories she created continue to brighten the lives of those who knew her. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit remain in the hearts of those she touched, guiding future generations. In every cherished memory, she lives on, a symbol of love and resilience that continues to inspire and uplift.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Kerry; a son, Neil Kerry; and one sister, Violet Micham.
