Graveside service for Michael Walker, Jr. will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at United Baptist Cemetery, formerly L.C. Weaver Memorial Cemetery in Campti, LA with Bro. Lyndell Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday the 4th from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Known by his family and friends as Mickey, he passed away on June 1, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born on January 16, 1946 to Michael Walker, Sr. and Marguerite Elizabeth Guilliams Walker in Natchitoches, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mickey was diagnosed with polio at an early age and his entire life he learned to accomplish many great things and overcame the difficulties associated with the disease. Mickey graduated from High School and Trade School and became an excellent automotive mechanic. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. His passion was building hot-rods and over the course of many years he took on numerous project cars, of which he would sell to move on to the next project. He was always surrounded by many friends and valued his time being around his motorcycle club members. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sisters, Myra Myers and husband Clem of McKinney, TX and Charlotte Bissell and husband Matthew of Shreveport; and his brothers, Benny Walker of Iowa Park, TX, Bobby Walker of Elgin, TX, Barry Walker of Natchitoches, LA, and Carmen Walker and wife Angea of Keatchie, LA.
