Meredith "Gaye" Stewart Morgan

Funeral service for Meredith “Gaye” Stewart Morgan will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Antioch Community Church located at 198 Sam Taylor Road, Goldonna, LA 71031. Burial will follow at Goldonna Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on April 9th at Antioch Community Church. Gaye, 67 years of age, passed away on April 4, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on May 15, 1954 in Cloutierville, LA to Betty Mahfouz. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings. She spent more than 30 years serving her community as a mail carrier for the Campti area. “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail…” could keep her from taking care of the people she loved. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Morgan; her children, Shannon Gresham and husband Michael and Matt Stewart and wife Gina; step-daughters, Vanessa Williams and husband Brian and Andi Morgan and husband Anthony; and a sister, Jody Brossette. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Jessica Plunkett, Taylor Williams, Morgan Settle, Savannah Gresham, Alexis Stewart, Kyndle Gresham, Brayden Stewart, Sadie Gresham, Kynlee Stewart, Georgia Stewart; as well as, 9 great-grandchildren, Briana Broomfield, Baylee Broomfield, Catherine Broomfield, Easton Plunkett, Maeven Gresham, Nora Plunkett, Asher Williams, Lincoln Williams, and Lily Settle. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends who treasured her dearly. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Michael Gresham, Kaleb Chesser, James Plunkett, Brayden Stewart, Trey Morgan, and Johnny Wayne Stewart. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gaye’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause she deeply cared about and supported throughout her life.
