Mayo Gallien Vascocu was born May 14, 1933 and passed away on July 4, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezell Possoitt Frantom Doolittle and Roy Frantom; her 1st husband of 42 years, Columbus Gallien, Jr. and her 2nd husband of 27 years Troy Vascocu.
She is survived by her sons, Roy Gallien (Joyce) and Michale Lane Gallien (Debbie); grandchildren, Brandi Williams (Rodney), Chris Gallien (Stephanie), Holly Cason (Kevin) and Megan Tarplay (Gabe); great-grandchildren, Heather, Denver, Tyler, Hunter, Caleb, Kyndall, Kylie and Marlee.
Mayo was a very devoted Catholic and a member of Holy Cross Church for over 30 years. She was married to her first husband Columbus Gallien Jr's for over 42 years. After that she married Troy Vascocu for over 27 years. She enjoyed traveling and camping and spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Red Hats for many years. Countless friends, and everyone she came across knew who she was and enjoyed being around her. Her legacy and loving memories will live on through her family and friends.
A Catholic Vigil will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 6th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home led by Rev. Jose Pallipurath. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 8 am until service time on the 6th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Rodney Williams, Kevin Cason, Tyler Gallien, Hunter Gallien, Denver Williams, and Gabe Tarplay.
