Maudie Irene Fabian

     Maudie Irene Fabian, 87, passed away on May 22, 2023.  She was born on December 25,1935, in Lena, Louisiana.

     Irene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Joseph (Joe) Fabian, Jr., her son, Dwayne David Fabian, her parents, Melvin and Mary Eler De Lacerda Nichols, sisters Tommie L. Woods, Mildred Conley, and brothers Doc Nichols, Webster Nichols, Claude Nichols, and Melvin (Brown) Nichols. 

     Irene is survived by her daughter, Patricia Freeman and husband Ty, her daughter in law, Kathleen Fabian, grandchildren Cassy Lafitte, Tim Lafitte and wife Eva, David Fabian and wife, Meagan, Sydney Fussell and husband Jeffery, and brothers Jack Nichols and Bob Nichols and sisters Maggie Koelzer and Dollie Martin, and seven dearly loved great grandbabies. 

     Mrs. Fabian worked for South Central Bell Telephone and held various other positions as she followed her husband while he  served in the Air Force. Mom loved gardening, and food, she loved full pots and pans and a house filled with family and friends. 

     Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew her and also by many who loved her. 

     There will be a small graveside service on June 10, 2023 at 9 am at the Bolton Cemetery in Gorum, Louisiana with Ralph Johnson officiating. Following the service, will be the interment of ashes.
