Mary Ann Turyn, 88, of Natchitoches, La. passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026.
Mary Ann was born on July 30, 1937 in Holden, West Virginia to Andy and Bertha Lazar.
She graduated from Logan High School in Logan, WVa. and went on to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was known for her warm smile, generous spirit and unwavering love for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She volunteered at her local Church and enjoyed singing in the choir at St Timothy, Catholic Church in The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida. She spread love and joy to everyone she met.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Stoker and Teresa Bloom (Marc); her grandchildren, John Stoker, Samuel Bloom, Ellen McCullough; and great-grandson, Jack McCullough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Turyn; her son, Anthony Turyn; her parents, Andy and Bertha Lazar; her sisters, Barbara Brown, Ruth Smith, Norma Hall; and brother, Ted Lazar.
A funeral/memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined in Logan, West Virginia where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Tony Turyn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mary Ann's name.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
