Mark Allen Kent

A service to honor the life of Mr. Mark Allen Kent will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 6, 2019, in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Burial will follow at Cloutierville Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 10 pm with memories and thoughts shared by friends at 7 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mark, 50 years of age and a resident of Cloutierville passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, with his friends by his side. He was born on January 29, 1969, to Henry Ed Kent and Mildred Louise Dupree Kent of Cloutierville in Alexandria, La. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed. Mark lived his life with integrity that was instilled in him from his loving father and mother. He passed that same integrity onto every young person that was a part of his life, always leading by example for others to follow. Mark was the happiest on a tractor, picker, or combine, so long as it was red. He enjoyed spending time with friends, for Mark, evenings were meant to be spent on the porch visiting with his closest friends. He spent years selflessly caring for his mother when she became ill. Mark was a farmer, hunter, and best friend to so many; a loving, caring and generous person to everyone he meet. Anyone that was associated with Mark was truly blessed. Mark had a love for agriculture like no other; he proudly served for over 20 years as a board member on the Natchitoches Parish Farm Bureau. He is survived by his mother, Mildred; and brother, Robert Kent and his wife Callie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Dean Abraham, Kevin Dunn, Brett Nugent, Ken Richardson, Ruark Brossett, William Dunn, and Jonathon Chappell. Honorary pallbearers will be, Colby Dunn, Jay Coutee, Keith Priest, Craig Dalme, Douglas Dupree, and Tommy Boudreaux.
