Margaret Jane Thomas

Margaret Jane Thomas, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend entered the next chapter of her journey on May 30, 2025. She passed peacefully at her home by the lake surrounded by Harold and her girls. She joined her loving parents, James and Betty Bower, her younger brother Joe and infant brother David, her precious granddaughter Catherine Holman Thornton and son-in-law Wayne Patrick Hubbs, and a collection of lifelong friends and extended family.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 64 years, Harold and her two daughters, Lisa and Vickie (Dixon); her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Dilyana, James and Jessica, Jordan and Natalie, Kirk, and Nicole; and her collection of greatgrandchildren she loved dearly; Maverick and Arrow, Avalyn, Emerie, and Dahlia, and Della. Three loving siblings remain in Pennsylvania; Boots, Jimbo (Judy) and Tom (Lindy).

Peggy fought long and hard these last three months and while we may have lost her physical presence, we will do our best to live to the fullest, inspired by her example of strength and love! Hospice of Natchitoches has been the sweetest blessing for us these last few days with her. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, Hospice of Natcitoches Foundation uses donations to enhance the quality of life for the patients and families in their care.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches – Crossroads Sanctuary located at 411 2nd St, Natchitoches, LA 71457. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time at First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches.
