Margaret Joann Powell

Margaret Joann Powell was born on May 18, 1937 in Dalton, GA to S. B. Powell and Lula Mae Wills. She passed away on July 6, 2021 in Natchitoches, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lula Mae Powell; brothers, Robert Powell of Houston, TX and Fred Powell of Walton Georgia; and best friend Sonya Dalme of Natchitoches, LA. She is survived by a cousin, Marilyn Crawford of Warner Robins, GA; a niece, Joanna Thompson of Houston, TX; a very close friend, T. J., of the Bay Town, TX area; next door neighbor and friends, Linda and Billy McCauslin, and her beloved dog, “Tammy”. Margaret was born in Dalton, GA and later moved to Houston, TX where she lived for many eyars. She retired from Hutcheson-Hayes Co. as an electrician. She moved to Natchitoches, LA after retirement where she lived until her death. A graveside service for Margaret will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10 am at Memory Lawn Cemetery.
