Maggie Scarborough

A private service to honor the life of Maggie will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery. Maggie gained her wings on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born October 21, 1940 to Minden Hall and Cynthia Caroline (Carrie) Smith in Provencal, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Otis Scarborough, oldest brother Minden Hall Smith, Jr., her sister and best friend Louise Stutts and son-in-law Timothy Wayne LeJeune. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her five children; Susan Dianne LeJeune, Carl Wayne Scarborough, Sherry Mitchell, Terry Scarborough and Marti Dixon; all of Natchitoches, La. A brother William Smith (Sherry) and brother-in-law Terry Ray Scarborough. Her grandchildren; Lonny Carney, Jr. (Katie), Joshua Mitchell (Lauren), Cole Sarpy, Mikaela Sarpy, Courtney Sarpy (Dillon) and Gabrielle Scarborough. Great grandchildren; Haley, Landon and Adalyn Carney, Avery Page Mitchell and Stella Mae Thompson. A host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all of the staff at Courtyard of Natchitoches for the care she received during her residency, and to Dr. Chris Ingram for his care and compassion he extended over the years.
