Macie Lee Martin

A graveside service for Mrs. Macie Lee (Chester) Martin will be at 11 am Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora, LA.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Macie Lee Martin, 93 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on January 21, 2020, in Natchitoches.  She was born on December 12, 1926, to Willie Lee Chester and Ada Mae Martin Chester in Vernon Parish, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin E. Martin; and brothers, Lonnie Chester, Nathan Chester, and Wilbur Chester. She is survived by her children, Marjorie Settle and husband Eddie of Natchitoches, Glenda Martin of Natchitoches, Dewayne Martin and wife Beth of Many, Darien Martin and wife Renee of El Dorado, AR, and Pamela Simmons and husband Hank of Marthaville; as well as a brother, Howard Ray Chester and wife Dolly of Natchitoches.  She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
