Lucille Catherine Longino Butler passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on November 4, 1943, in Natchitoches, Lucille lived life in her own way, full of personality, honesty, and love for her family.
Lucille worked for many years in local dentist offices and retired from Dr. C. Scott Godfrey’s office a few years before her passing. She loved visiting with people and never met a stranger. Lucille was feisty, quick witted, and full of personality. She loved making people laugh and always said exactly what she was thinking. She loved music, dancing, playing cards, spending time in her yard, and watching the hummingbirds. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lucille leaves behind the family who knew and loved her best, Joey and Kristi Salard, Joseph and Rosemary Salard, and Pam and Trey Disante. Her grandchildren, Michael Foshee, Kori Foshee, Brittany Salard and Heather, Haley Graves and Blake, and Hunter Salard and Megan, lovingly knew her as “Too Too.” She was also blessed with nine great grandchildren, Kinsley, Easton, Ally, Mallory, Aurora, Bash, Beck, Trafford, and Jacksen. She is also survived by her sister, Daisy Salard, and her brother, Charles “Bud” Longino, Jr. and Bernice.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Pat Molloy, and her parents, Charlie Longino and Daisy Kerry Longino. Lucille Butler will be remembered for her strong spirit, quick wit, and the love she had for her family. Even in passing, she continued giving to others through organ donation, her final selfless act.
A service to honor her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday, May 23, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Her wishes were to be cremated, and she will later be laid to rest at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to FAUNA (Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals).
