On May 21, 2026, Linda Dalme, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted servant of God, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 84. She passed peacefully in her sleep after many battles and hardships with her health.
Linda's devotion to her family could be seen in the way she loved so deeply and cared so selflessly for those around her. She had a nurturing spirit and a heart that welcomed everyone, treating others with kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. To Linda, family was not limited by blood — anyone who entered her life was embraced with warmth, support, and genuine care. She had a special way of making people feel valued, comforted, and deeply loved. The impact of her gentle spirit and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, William C. Vaught; her mother, Martha A. Phillips; her husband, Lawrence Dalme Jr.; her brothers William Phillips, Thomas Phillips, Daniel Vaught and her grandsons, Gabriel Johnson, Scott Mitchel Dalme, and Curtis Johnson.
She leaves behind many who will forever cherish her memory, including her daughter, Laura Dalme Jeffcoat (Gary); her son, Gary Dalme (Debbie); and her sisters, Patricia Shotwell (William), Deborah Vaught Beck (Allen). She is also lovingly remembered by her grandsons, Anthony Adkins (Myranda), Evan Johnson (Savannah), and Gary Bo Dalme Jr.; as well as her granddaughter, Amanda D. Harless (Kyle). She was further blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought much joy to her life.
With strength, compassion, and deep devotion to her family, Linda lived a life marked by service, adventure, and love. She faithfully worked at the Pentagon for 20 years and found joy in traveling, visiting Disney and Universal Studios, riding and collecting carousels, and preserving precious memories through countless photo albums that reflected her love for family. As a proud Daughter of the American Revolution, she carried a deep appreciation for heritage, tradition, and perseverance. Her faith remained an anchor throughout her life, and her favorite Scripture, Psalm 123, reflected the grace and steadfast trust she carried so beautifully. A woman of immense creativity, Linda expressed her love through her arts and crafts, leaving behind handmade treasures including birthday and Christmas cards that she shared with everyone that she cared for that her friends and family will cherish forever.
