A service to honor the life of Lawson Boyett will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, with Bro. Bill Hudson and Bro. Steve McAlister officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. On April 29, 2021 Lawson Boyett, devoted husband, Korean War Veteran, Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 89. Lawson was the proud owner of Boyett's Auto Repair for 30 plus years with his wife and son. He loved tinkering, his dogs, hunting, and fishing. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, from 1951 to 1953, and was discharged from the Army in 1954. Lawson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Boyett; his children, Donnie Boyett and life-partner Henry Noble, Lisa Sandling and husband Michael Hanlon, and Larry Boyett and partner Zarlene Boyett; Grand-Children Zarchary Sandling and wife Kim, Tamela Blue and husband James, Brandon Boyett and wife Tristal, Jeremy Sandling and wife Crystal, Heather Roberts and husband Jake, and Ethan Boyett and wife Autumn; and 14 great-grandchildren.
