Kenneth Ray Heard, Sr.

A memorial service for Mr. Kenneth Ray Heard, Sr. will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Father Derek Ducote officiating. Burial of his cremains will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time at Blanchard-St. Denis on Saturday the 13th. Kenneth was born on April 10, 1946 to Ollie Heard and Alice Hernandez Heard in Cheneyville, LA and passed away on August 10, 2022 in Natchitoches at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeffrey Lynn Heard. He is survived by his wife Penny Shivers Heard of Natchitoches; a son Kenneth Ray Heard, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Natchitoches; grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, and Noah Heard of Natchitoches, Austin Heard and wife Shaylee and Grant Bailey all of Sulphur and Ethan Heard of Natchitoches; and great grandchildren, Aubree and Sadie Heard of Sulphur. Kenneth possessed a strong work ethic and he was his happiest when he was working. He worked as a route salesman for many years and was a good provider for his family. He proudly served in the LA National Guard. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
