Our precious dad, Kenneth Wayne Gibson, went peacefully to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the age of 94. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, daddy, uncle and grandfather. Most of all, he was a believer of Jesus Christ. Kenneth was born to William Dyson Gibson and Evalena Killingsworth Gibson in Goldonna, Louisiana, on May 26, 1928. He graduated from Goldonna High School on May 22, 1945. Kenneth worked at his parents’ General Store and Cafe in Goldonna and attended Louisiana Tech. In 1975 Kenneth was transferred with his company to Houston, Texas. During that time, he married his second wife, Adele Wainwright, on April 1, 1983. After completing 30 years of service with United Gas/Pennzoil, Kenneth retired in March of 1986. He and Adele enjoyed some of their retired years traveling the United States in their motor home. In 1991, they decided to settle in Russellville, Arkansas. Kenneth and Adele were members of First Baptist Church of Russellville. He was active in his Sunday School Class, Men’s Bible Study Class and Habitat for Humanity. Kenneth and Adele remained in Russellville until February 2020, when their health began declining.
