Judy Katherine Lindsey

Graveside services for Judy Katherine Lindsey will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Provencal Cemetery in Provencal, La. with Rev. Paul Grace officiating. 

Judy was born September 8, 1952 in Arcadia, FL. She passed away September 10, 2023 at the age of 71.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elvis and Ella Rhodes, infant sister Joyce Rhodes, Grandparents Randall and Agnes O'Bannon and Marcus and Eula Rhodes. Father and Mother in law G.K. and Ona Mae Lindsey. Two brothers in law Ben and Glen Lindsey and sister in law Donna Lindsey.

Judy is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years Larry Lindsey, her daughter Angela Jennings and husband Chris, son Man Lindsey and wife Katie. Her pride and joy, grandsons Christopher and Dylan Jennings. Sisters Janice Boswell and husband Buddy, Louise Yopp and husband Randy. Brother Robert Rhodes and wife Karen and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Judy lived a full and eventful life, from "running off" to Mexico to marry Larry, to traveling to Disney World 3 times in 6 years because the grandboys wanted to.

There was nothing she would not do for the ones she loved, including a little corrective discipline (just ask her nieces and nephews). If she loved you you knew, if she didn't you also knew. She enjoyed volunteering at Provencal Christian Academy, to help keep those students on the straight and narrow.

She was loved and will be greatly missed,

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her nephews: Cecil Boswell Jr, Rodney Boswell, Jeremy Yopp, Marcus Rhodes, great nephew Dakoda Wyatt and nephew in law Daniel Gongre. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Lindsey, Kayden Rhodes, Donald Holman and Colton Yopp.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Provencal Christian Academy. A special thank you to Hospice of Natchitoches for taking great care of mom this last week.
