Judith Lauret Matt, 74, of Cloutierville passed away April 17, 2026, in Shreveport surrounded by family. “Judy” was born September 22, 1951, in New Orleans to the care of Julian and Audrey Lauret. She was a 1969 graduate of Glenmora High School during which time she met the love of her life, Derrit D. “Danny” Matt Sr. Together, Danny and Judy raised their family in Cloutierville on the farm and their faith at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Judy used many God-given talents for her family and church, creating blankets, quilts, paintings and elaborate Christmas games for her grandchildren. In the service of her faith, she taught CCD, participated in Altar Society, called bingo, supported church fairs, all while attending the business affairs of the family farm.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Audrey Lauret, and her granddaughter Meaghan Alese Matt. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Danny, children Derrit D. Matt Jr. (Roxanne), Joseph Wayne Matt (April), and Kathryn Matt Rokohl (Phil), grandchildren Madelyn Matt Wiggins (Tanner), Meredith Brooke Matt, Daniel Blake Rokohl, Audrey Ann Matt, and Jude Randall Matt, and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Craig Puckett, Jacques Matt IV, Phil Rokohl, Tanner Wiggins, Landon Malmay, Daniel Rokohl, Travis Matt (honorary) and Jude Matt (honorary).

Visitation will be Monday April 20, 2026, from 5:00-6:30pm at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a rosary to be held at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 21, 2026, at 10:00am in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville. Burialswill follow in the church cemetery.
