Joshua Grimes

Joshua Grimes, 37 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on June 16, 2023.

Joshua loved spending time with his family, friends and fur babies.  He loved joking and cutting up with his family and friends.  He was always ready to bring a smile to a sad face and laughter to a broken heart.  Joshua believed in working hard, when it was time to work, always giving it his all.  He loved driving his escort truck, watching the miles fly by, listening to his music and talking on the c. b. radio with his friends under his handle of T-Model.  In his spare time, he enjoyed relaxing with his peace pipe, talking with his sisters, nieces, and nephews and watching his favorite shows on TV.  His lively personality led him to be best friends with everyone he met.  Most importantly, Joshua loved the Lord with all his heart and shared it everyday in his life.  Even with his last wishes, he became an organ donor to help people in need, so that they could enjoy life to the fullest just as he did. 

He is survived by his mother, Alva Lou Floyd and step-dad, Robert of Natchitoches, LA; sisters, Stephanie Daniel of Calera, AL, Kristen Allgood (Joseph) of Thorsby, AL, and Carly Grimes (Daniel) of Nauvoo, AL; step-sister, Kelli Sue Orellano of Fayette, AL; paternal uncle, Steve Grimes (Linny); paternal aunt, Crystal Bonner; maternal uncle, Reed Stephens (Lacey); paternal aunt, Suzonne Stephens (Joe); nieces, Brooklynn  Allgood, Alexis Grimes, and Everly Grimes; nephews, Joshua Daniel, Malachi Allgood, Bryson Allgood, and Timothy Myers; and of course his most precious “fur-baby”, Mabel.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Christopher Grimes; paternal grandparents, Robert and Carlene Grimes; maternal grandparents, Louis and Alma Stephens; a maternal special aunt, Sandi Stephens; a paternal uncle, Glenn “Clyde” Bonner, Jr.; and a “fur-baby”, Kane.

A memorial service to honor his life will be announced at a later time.
